Award winning actress, Catherine
Oxenberg, joins "Watch Over Me" as
Leandra Thames, Michael's (Marc
Menard) chief aide and personal
assistant. Cold and efficient,
Leandra is actually masking her
unspoken love for Michael.
A New York native, Oxenberg grew up
in London where her first
Shakespearean acting coach was
Richard Burton, who was engaged to
her mother, Princess Elizabeth of
Yugoslavia. She returned to the
United States to attend St. Paul's
School where she graduated Summa cum
Laude and was admitted to Harvard
University. Oxenberg transferred to
Columbia University after deciding
to pay her own way through college
by modeling, and has graced the
covers of Vogue, Glamour,
Cosmopolitan, Harper's Bazaar,
Redbook, Good Housekeeping, Los
Angeles Magazine and Interview.
Oxenberg's acting career took off
after landing her first audition to
play Princess Diana in CBS TV's
"Royal Romance of Charles and
Diana." She was personally cast by
Aaron Spelling in his hit "Dynasty,"
and went on to star in various
television miniseries and movies
including "Still Crazy Like a Fox,"
"Swimsuit" and "Trenchcoat in
Paradise." Oxenberg has also hosted
"Saturday Night Live" with Paul
Simon.
For her feature film debut she
starred opposite Hugh Grant in "Lair
of the White Worm." Next, she
starred with Jon Voight in "Boys
Will Be Boys," "Arthur's Quest,"
"Time Served" "The Collectors" and
"Catch Me If You Can" with Tim
Matheson and the surprise
independent film "The Omega Code,"
with her husband, Casper Van Dien.
In 2002, Oxenberg won a Best Actress
Award for her inspirational
performance in the television movie,
"The Miracle of the Cards," from the
prestigious Movie Guide Awards.
Oxenberg and Van Dien have worked
together on several different
projects including a television
series they produced and starred in
titled, "I Married a Princess."
Their production company, Holy Cow
Entertainment, was founded with a
unique vision to produce socially
responsible, quality family
entertainment with the intention of
uplifting and transforming people.
Oxenberg and Van Dien currently live
in Malibu with their five children.
