
											
											In "Watch Over Me," the lovely 
											Dayanara Torres portrays alluring 
											graduate student, Julia Rivera, a 
											rare beauty who is engaged to 
											multi-millionaire Michael Krieger 
											(Marc Menard). She falls in love 
											with her bodyguard Jack, but they 
											must keep their love a secret to 
											avoid Michael's wrath, until they 
											can find a way to escape his realm 
											of influence. 
											
											Born in Puerto Rico to modest 
											beginnings, Torres went on to be 
											crowned Miss Universe. A film star 
											in both the Philippines and Mexico, 
											she has starred in 12 movies in the 
											Philippines and Puerto Rico 
											including "Linda Sara" (1994) 
											co-starring with singer/actor 
											Chayanne and directed by Oscar 
											nominee Jacobo Morales; "Basta't 
											Kasama Kita/As Long As We're 
											Together" (1995); "Hataw Na/Dance 
											Now" (1996); and "Type Kita Walang 
											Kokontra/You Belong To Me" (1998).
											
											Torres was the host of the 
											highly-rated live variety show 
											"ASAP," which was broadcast 
											throughout all of Asia, and also 
											hosted the TV show, "Eazy Dancing," 
											which earned her the nickname "The 
											Dancing Queen of the Philippines." 
											In 1995, the Philippine Press Club 
											honored her with the Best New TV 
											Personality Award. In 1998, Dayanara 
											returned to Puerto Rico to promote 
											her album "Antifaz," which reached 
											the top of the Billboard Dance 
											charts throughout Latin America and 
											the Philippines. 
											
											Soon, Hollywood beckoned and Torres 
											garnered a recurring role on "The 
											Young and the Restless," and worked 
											as a special correspondent for 
											"Access Hollywood." During the last 
											two years, she has worked on 
											campaigns for Crest Healthy Smiles, 
											Clairol Hydrience, Metro 7 
											(Wal-Mart), and McDonald's, and was 
											featured in a national Breast Cancer 
											awareness campaign and a domestic 
											violence prevention campaign. Torres 
											has recently graced the covers of 
											People en Espanol, Latina, Shape en 
											Espanol, Ocean Drive en Espanol, 
											Caras, Selecta and Buena Vida, among 
											others. People en Espanol has 
											included her in its 50 Most 
											Beautiful issue two years in a row.
											
											Torres currently resides in Los 
											Angeles, and enjoys spending her 
											free time with her two sons.
