Marc Menard joins the cast of "Watch
Over Me" as Michael Krieger who runs
a successful viral research company
while secretly supplementing his
income by selling dangerous
weaponized viruses to arms dealers
worldwide. Michael is just as
consumed with medical breakthroughs
as he is with controlling all in his
midst.
Menard was born in Quebec, Qc,
Canada, but his family soon after
moved to the suburbs of Montreal.
Menard attended high school at a
Jesuit academy where he says he
developed his first love of acting,
"I actually began acting as a way to
meet girls. I attended an all-boys
private high school, and the only
extra-curricular activity that
included the neighboring girls'
schools was the Drama Club." Menard
continued his studies at the
collegiate level attending Concordia
University in Montreal, and the
University of Sherbrooke in
Sherbrooke, Qc, graduating with an
LLB and a degree in Business
Administration. Soon after
graduation, Menard was discovered by
a director casting for a lead in a
music video, which led to a national
ad campaign for Nautilus fitness,
launching Menard's modeling career.
After being scouted by a top
modeling agency in Milan, Italy,
Menard traveled to Milan, Paris and
New York for various campaigns. His
modeling brought him to Miami where
he decided to settle down to focus
on his acting career. There, he
landed the lead roles in two
independent films and one year later
was cast in the starring role of the
internationally distributed American
Telenovela, "Ocean Avenue." Soon
after, Menard landed the contract
role of Boyd Larraby on "All My
Children."
Menard has made Los Angeles his
official home but often returns to
his native Canada to visit friends
and family. A self-declared
adrenaline junkie, Menard spends his
free time snowboarding, dirt biking,
kickboxing, barefoot water-skiing,
sky-diving, and mountain-biking.
