Gregg Strouse as Cully

Gregg Strouse portrays Gamarra's (Chris DeRose) henchman Cully in "Desire." Although he played a large role in kidnapping Louis (Nate Haden), he later forges a friendship with him and Cully becomes Louis’ chief aide during his scheming.

Strouse was born in Long Branch, New Jersey, and raised outside of Philadelphia before moving to Malibu, California, as a teenager. He earned an Environmental Science degree from UC Berkeley, which led him to environmental projects such as working with the Bureau of Land Management and spending a summer trapping bobcats. However, a college acting class inspired him to pursue theater, which let him to roles in stage performances of “Beauty and the Beast,” “The Normal Heart” and “The Golden Boy,” which won the 2005 East County Herald’s Eastie Award for best Drama. Strouse, himself, was named the “2001 Outstanding Student” at the Los Angeles City College Theatre Academy.

He currently lives in the Pacific Beach area in San Diego, where he enjoys boxing, playing poker, singing and playing the guitar.
