Kelly Albanese portrays mafia
princess Cara Gamarra in "Desire."
Cara lies to her father, mob boss
Joey Gamarra (Chris DeRose), about
her relationship with Louis (Nate
Haden) and then struggles to take
over the family business.
Similar to her "Desire" character,
Albanese is Italian and grew up on
the East Coast. Born and raised as a
sports enthusiast in Westport,
Massachusetts, Albanese was a
gymnast for 12 years which garnered
an invitation to train under
legendary Olympic coach Bela Karolyi.
She additionally played softball at
Bridgewater State College, where she
earned a Bachelor of Science degree.
She taught gymnastics at a
recreation center before moving to
Los Angeles to pursue acting.
Albanese has appeared on both the
large and small screens with roles
in the comedy blockbuster "Stuck on
You," starring Matt Damon and Greg
Kinnear, as well as the popular
television series "Monk," starring
Tony Shalhoub.
Albanese currently lives in Los
Angeles, where she enjoys watching
and playing sports in her free time.
